DesmoDue Race Series

A well established and cheap way to go racing? Or the best way to make a great bunch of biking mates who love Ducatis?

We have been racing in the DesmoDue series now since 2014 - now hosted by North Gloucester Road Racing Club - the 2021 season has seen a resurgence of interest in these now 20+ year old bikes.

Two classes make up the series with Class A bikes being the later 620cc engined machines with fuel injection and the Class B bikes being the earlier 583cc bikes with a 5 speed gearbox both based upon the SuperSport and Monster models. Around 30 bikes have competed during 2021 split roughly 2/3 A Class and 1/3 B Class.

The paddock is full of friendly racers and helpers with a wealth of air cooled Ducati knowledge and a warm welcome is definitely assured as well as close competitive racing! Test days are notable for the help and assistance given to newer riders to get them up to speed and any mechanical or bike issues sorted and improved.

NGRRC will be running a full schedule featuring DesmoDue in 2022 and we cant wait to get back out there! With rounds at Oulton Park, Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Cadwell Park, Anglesey, Castle Combe and Pembrey there is sure to be a round near to most people!
